Jeffrey Chou, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Chou is responsible for leading Xencor’s clinical development strategy and execution in oncology. Prior to joining Xencor in April 2026, he served as Senior Vice President, Clinical Science at Iovance Biotherapeutics, where he provided clinical leadership across the entire pipeline for AMTAGVI® (lifileucel), a tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte cell therapy approved for advanced melanoma and under development in other cancers, as well as earlier stage assets. Before Iovance, he was Vice President, Clinical Development at Fate Therapeutics and held clinical leadership positions at Pfizer and Amgen. Earlier in his career, Dr. Chou was on the faculty at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, where he conducted research exploring immune responses to colorectal cancer and had a clinical subspecialty in gastrointestinal oncology. Dr. Chou received his M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in medical oncology at the University of Washington.
