Eric P. Kowack

Mr. Kowack oversees all aspects of the program leadership and strategic alliances group in support of Xencor’s internal and external portfolios. Previously, he served as vice president of program leadership and precision medicine at Ignyta, where he led early-stage development programs while spearheading Ignyta’s contributions to the Cancer Moonshot initiative. Mr. Kowack has extensive experience leading oncology-focused drug development teams at Pfizer, where he served as asset team leader for 19 different programs, including Ibrance^® (palbociclib) from Ph 1b to approval. Mr. Kowack served in the United States Coast Guard in several roles of increasing responsibility, including Commanding Officer of a cutter, before retiring as a Commander in the USCGR. He earned an M.S. in biochemistry from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Marist.
